DNS was engaged by a multi-state long term care organization to provide a corporate level review, assessment, plan and implementation to reduce food cost for the company’s dietary departments. This included a review of each facility’s food cost, creation and implementation of purchasing policies for the dietary departments and finally, negotiating with vendors on behalf of the client to secure favorable contracts.

DNS was retained by a law firm to provide dietitian expert witness services and case review for a case involving a nursing home resident. Through careful review of the medical records, DNS provided analysis previously unknown to the attorney and consequently provided insight that was vital in settling the case

DNS was engaged by one of the largest long term care chains to provide crisis management for a nursing home at risk of losing its operating license due to immediate jeopardy deficiencies in dietary. The nursing home was receiving fines of $1500 per day as a result of the deficiencies. Working hand in hand with the Dietary staff and client management team DNS implemented a plan of correction within 21 days. With DNS personnel onsite for the resurvey all deficiencies were cleared and the fines were lifted. DNS has enjoyed a 100% success rate of clearing deficiencies for nursing homes in regulatory trouble.
