SURVEY MANAGEMENT– Years of experience enables DNS collaboratively
to offer extensive survey management services to long term care facilities.
Pre-surveys can be a valuable tool in helping a facility discover the areas
requiring work to achieve regulatory compliance, and DNS works especially well
with the staff in the facility to uncover those areas. DNS will develop a plan
of correction and follow through with implementation. When a facility has the
unfortunate experience of failing an inspection, there can be extensive daily
fines and chaos created by nonstop surveyor rounds in a facility that is already

Focus areas include - weight loss and nutritional status of residents, pressure

menus, food temperatures, food preparation and delivery, supplement delivery,

MENU DEVELOPMENT– DNS provides Menus with Recipes that can be
individualized according to a facility’s population or cultural makeup. Menus
are easy to read and always cost effective to reflect a company’s food related
budget.
CLINICAL SERVICES– Consultant coverage can be provided for the clinical
assessment needs of a long term care facility. Whether it is for an ongoing
contract or vacation relief, DNS provides an experienced consultant who will
work with the facility staff to meet the nutritional needs of the residents. DNS
often provides consultation on a case by case basis for the most severe
nutritionally at risk residents in a facility. Occasionally it helps to have
